RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities of the Assistant Professor of Practice in Communication/Media will be twofold. The successful applicant will teach a variety of courses in video production such as Video Production I, Video Production II, the Communication and Media Internship Practicum, and develop a course in Sports Broadcasting. A second responsibility is to manage the Media Center studio. This includes managing the design, implementation, operational status, upgrades, and end-user support of broadcast technology related to media production courses, such as multi-camera studio and control room systems, Avid Nexis shared media server system, and livestream broadcast capabilities. Begins 2026-2027 academic year. Service to the Department and University is expected as well as willingness to actively contribute to the mission of the University.
