Salary Range: $40,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Type: Full Time, fixed-term track

Job Summary: Assistant Professor of Practice may teach up to four composition courses per semester at the undergraduate level required qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in English, Rhetoric and Composition, Linguistics, Literature or other related field of study.
• Teaching experience and qualifications comparable to those of faculty members in the fixed-term track or tenure track positions.
• This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree
• Two years or more of teaching experience at an institution of higher education, preferably a university, and demonstrated high levels of teaching performance as indicated by a formal review.

This position will work primarily on campus. This is a non-tenure track, benefits eligible position(s) for Spring 2026 and will be filled based on department need and the number of classes to be taught.
