BASIC PURPOSE:

The Department of Psychology at Assumption University (Worcester, MA) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Candidates must be committed to undergraduate teaching and advising as well as service to the university and greater community. The ideal candidate would be prepared to teach foundational courses in general psychology, statistics, and/or research methods in addition to courses that can bridge across the areas of mental health, human development, and physiological psychology. Candidates must also be able to provide evidence of scholarship and promise of developing a research program suitable for undergraduate student collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must hold a doctorate in psychology or a closely related discipline by the date of hire. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred. Candidates must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
