Assistant Professor of Psychology

a strong teacher, scholar, and clinician interested in shaping these cutting-edge graduate training programs with particular emphasis on integrating social justice, advocacy, contemporary best practices, and cultural competence into clinical psychology. Area of scholarship is open, though we are particularly interested in the following specialty areas: psychological assessment, practicum instruction and supervision, psychotherapy, multicultural psychology, trauma, child/adolescent psychology, forensic psychology, and applied research methods (e.g., program evaluation, qualitative research). The position is a full-time 9- month appointment and responsibilities include some or all of the following: teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, developing an active program of research/scholarship, research mentoring for undergraduate and graduate students (including supervising Psy.D. dissertation projects), clinical supervision for in-house psychological assessment training clinic, and contributing to service activities in the department, college, and university (including APA accreditation process). The typical teaching load is 3 classes/semester (and may be distributed across both campuses); however, teaching and workload distributions are negotiable, depending on each faculty member's specific goals and strengths. The position is open to clinical or counseling psychologists who completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship, graduated from an APA-accredited doctoral program, and are eligible for licensure and endorsement as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP) in Indiana or will be eligible within two years (clinical release time and in-house supervision can be negotiated).
