Assistant Professor of the Department of Laboratory Methods at LF MU
1 position in the field of hematology
1 position in the field of microbiology
(with shorter working hours - 2 hours per week)
The Department of Laboratory Methods is a workplace of Faculty of Medicine MU which carries out educational, scientific and research activities. In the field of education, it provides mainly practical training in the bachelor's degree program "Laboratory Diagnostics in Healthcare" and participates in education in the master's degree programs at the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Science, Masaryk University.

The scope of your work will be:
- participation in theoretical and practical teaching in the Czech language at the workplace
- preparation of the study and teaching materials in the Czech language
- involvement in research and development activities, including the publication and presentation of research results
- share in the organizational provision of research and pedagogical activities, incl. related administration
Required qualification:
- Completed university education in the medical field (with the title MD), a Master of Science in the medical field, or equivalent education attained abroad
- Completed education in a doctoral study program (PhD degree)
- Specialized qualification according to Act No. 95/2004 Coll. (doctors, dentists and pharmacists), or Act No. 96/2004 Coll. (non-medical health professions) in hematology (818/222) or medical microbiology (specialization 802)
- Verifiable publishing activity
- Preferably experience in one of the disciplines of laboratory medicine gained in a clinical laboratory of a large type III hospital providing comprehensive diagnostic services
- Teaching experience and experience supervising theses (bachelor's theses, master's theses)
- Capability of independent professional and research work including publishing activities
- Capability to actively participate at an international conference or professional seminar
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Fluent Czech (spoken and written)
- Active approach, initiative and willingness for further education
- Moral integrity
A prerequisite for inclusion in the position of assistant professor is an employment relationship with the relevant hospital.
