Assistant Professor of the Practice (Architecture)
This full-time, non-tenure track position within the School of Architecture will teach architecture design studios and related courses, special projects courses, and/or seminars involving architectural theory and practices. This position will also adhere to the University standards in teaching, research and service.
Responsibilities:
- Teach architecture design studios and related courses, special projects courses, and/or seminars involving architectural theory and practices.
- Coordinate their studios and assist their students in preparing for careers in Architecture.
- Keep records, post grades (mid-term & final), submit attendance reporting, and mentor students.
- Post and maintain regular office hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned by department head.
Required Education:
Terminal Degree in Architecture (M.ARCH) from a NAAB accredited program.
Preferred Experience:
Five (5) years of architectural practices that includes a broad portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to bring real world experiences to the classroom and studio.
