Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level violin students.
- Recruit and maintain a successful teaching studio.
- Serve on doctoral and master’s committees and juries.
- Maintain a professional career as a performing artist.
- Participate in university and professional service activities nationally and internationally as appropriate.
- Additional responsibilities may include coaching chamber music and teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Qualifications
- Hold a doctoral degree or demonstrate a record of equivalent performance and teaching experience.
- Hold a record of successful university-level studio teaching experience and proven artistry as a professional performer.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to the recruitment of outstanding students.
- Demonstrate a proven commitment to creating an environment which contributes to the vibrancy and economy of the university community and engages students.
