Assistant Professor or Instructor of Construction Management
Job Summary
We seek an individual who is (1) passionate about teaching both lower-division and upper-division undergraduate Construction Management courses, (2) committed to service to the program and university, and (3) invested in student success. If you desire to make a difference in the lives of undergraduate students, the Department of Statistics & Applied Technology in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University invites you to apply for a renewable-track faculty position to begin August 18, 2026. Review of applications will begin October 15, 2025 and continue until the position is filled.
Principle Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate courses including core courses such as Introduction to CAD, Fluid and Mechanical Systems, as well as construction management courses in Estimating, Scheduling, Project Controls, and Project Administration. Ohio Northern University faculty teach 23-25 credit hours per year. Additional responsibilities include advising students and student organizations, maintaining industry relationships, and participating in department, college, and university service. Required Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, a passion for mentoring students both inside and outside the classroom, an ability to develop innovative active-learning experiences that reinforce theory while promoting inquiry and experimentation, and a desire to foster strong industrial relationships.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering Technologies, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field, plus relevant industry experience. Candidates with experience teaching at the undergraduate level and those with doctorate degrees are encouraged to apply. ABD candidates will be considered if all degree requirements are completed before September 1, 2026. Rank will be commensurate with experience and highest degree.
