Contractually Limited Term Position

Position # 30220 CLT

12-Month

The School of Education invites applications from candidates for a 12-Month Contractually Limited Term (CLT) position at the rank of Assistant Professor (or Lecturer) in Healthy Learning Environments beginning July 1, 2026, and running to June 30, 2027. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses focused on fostering student well-being and positive classroom communities, with topics that may include social-emotional learning, mental health literacy, trauma-informed practice, culturally responsive pedagogy, equity and inclusion, and approaches to supporting diverse learners.

A Master of Education (or other equivalent degree) is the minimum requirement with preference given to candidates with a completed or partially completed doctorate degree in Education. Graduate studies must be in education and one or more of the following priority areas or closely related fields: social justice, equity, and inclusive schooling; Indigenous education and culturally responsive pedagogy; gender and sexuality studies; and/or disability studies. Preference will be given to applicants with lived experience of marginalized identities as this is seen to be fundamental knowledge that is relevant to this position. Academic Qualifications

A completed graduate degree in education is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed or are near completion of a PhD in Education or a field relevant to the position. Applicants are expected to have a clearly established or emerging research agenda related to the position.

The School of Education is seeking candidates who are committed to contributing to Acadia’s priorities of decolonization, antiracism, equity, inclusion, and diversity.
