The School of Education invites applications from candidates for a 12-Month Contractually Limited Term (CLT) position at the rank of Assistant Professor (or Lecturer) in Science Education beginning July 1, 2026, and running to June 30, 2027. The successful applicant is expected to teach required B.Ed. coursework in elementary and secondary science teaching and learning.
An M.Ed. in Science Education (or other equivalent degree) is the minimum requirement with preference given to candidates with a completed or partially completed doctorate degree in Science Education (or related discipline). Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 5 years of public-school teaching experience in science education. They will have demonstrated experiences and competencies in teaching science as an exemplary educator. An established and/or emerging research agenda in science education would be considered an asset. Applicants would be expected to have fluency in current integration strategies such as STEM/STEAM. Candidates are required to have proven experience teaching science from a culturally responsive pedagogical standpoint, grounded in indigeneity, and decolonizing, equity, social justice, and antiracist frameworks.
