Description:
The Philosophy Department at the University of Houston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor for Fall 2027. We seek applicants with areas of specialization in Political Philosophy or Philosophy of Law, areas of concentration are open. There is an expectation that a successful candidate will be able to contribute significantly to the University of Houston’s new Philosophy, Politics, and Economics major. Responsibilities: Teaching 2 courses per semester (with TA support for…
introductory courses) and normal service to the Department, College, and University. Competitive candidates will be actively involved in mentoring our undergraduate and graduate student populations, as well as expected to contribute to an inclusive work and learning environment. Salary: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Qualifications: Requires a PhD in Philosophy.
