University of Wroclaw invites applications for the position of assistant professor (post-doc) at the Centre for the Study of the Ancient World, Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences, within the NCN Opus project

The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.
The candidate is expected to have:
- A Ph.D. degree in classics/ ancient history/ ancient archaeology obtained not earlier that 7 years before the time of appointment. A candidate who holds more than one doctoral degree, please be advised that she/he is qualified for this position if the earliest doctoral degree was granted no earlier than in 2019.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of Ancient Greek, experience in working with epigraphic material, and experience in book editing and publishing will be considered an additional advantage.
- Please be advised to make sure that you meet the NCN criteria for post-docs in NCN-funded projects (https://www.ncn.gov.pl/sites/default/files/pliki/uchwaly-rady/2021/uchwala44_2021-zal1_ang.pdf#page=48).
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Co-edit a collaborative volume "The Epigraphic Programs of Greek Sanctuaries: Space, Actors and Visual Strategies" with the Principal Investigator.
