This work will strengthen NC State's leadership in climate and Earth system science.
- Teach and mentor students - Provide high-quality instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including key courses such as General Marine Physics and Physical Oceanography (MEA 460). This position will also be expected to contribute to curriculum development and student advising, ensuring continued excellence in MEAS's teaching mission.
- Provide service and professional engagement - Contribute to departmental, college, and university governance, support interdisciplinary collaborations across NC State and beyond, and advance professional service to the broader oceanographic community.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including general marine physics and/or physical oceanography, and other classes commensurate with the candidate's interest and expertise.
- Demonstrated use of evidence-based teaching practices.
- Record of external funding or clear potential to secure external research support.
