Offer Description
Main tasks:
- Conducting and developing research activities in the field of special education, including publishing research findings and initiating new research topics;
- Participating in the preparation and implementation of research projects, including submitting grant applications and collaborating within research teams;
- Developing scholarly activity through participation in national and international conferences and collaboration with academic institutions;
- Independently conducting classes in the field of pedagogy, preparing teaching materials, and refining teaching methods;
- Engaging students in the educational process and supporting their academic development, including through consultations and supervision of student projects/theses;
- Participating in the organizational work of the unit, including in teams, committees, and activities supporting the specific field of study or academic discipline;
- Collaborating with unit staff on the execution of teaching, research, and organizational tasks;
- Participating in the academic life of the unit and carrying out assigned organizational tasks.
Formal requirements:
- Meeting the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Act on Higher Education and Science;
- Holding a doctoral degree in the field/discipline of social sciences/pedagogy;
- Submission of all documents required to enter the competition.
Substantive requirements:
- A research track record comprising at least 3 scientific publications (articles in journals on the MEiN list or chapters in peer-reviewed monographs), authorship of a scientific monograph, or a publication of an international nature;
- Experience in conducting scientific research for a period of at least one year;
- Experience in preparing or submitting at least one research funding application or participating in a research project;
- Experience in teaching at the higher education level for a period of at least one year, totaling at least 60 hours of instruction in the field/discipline of pedagogy;
- Practical experience in pedagogical work with children and/or youth with disabilities, and the ability to design educational activities for individuals with special educational needs;
- Qualifications in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) – AAC specialist (certificate); additional qualifications in sensory integration (Level I) and Weronika Sherborne’s Developmental Movement Method (Level I), as well as experience in adapting educational materials for students with complex communication needs, are welcome;
- At least 5 years of experience working as a special education teacher in an educational institution.
- At least 5 years of experience as a university lecturer – experience in conducting classes in the following areas: functional assessment of child development, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), methodology of special educational support (rehabilitation/remedial work), pedagogical diagnosis and therapy, mathematics teaching methodology, methodology of working with students with specific difficulties in mathematics, and supporting the development of children with multiple disabilities;
- Experience in teamwork, including participation in a research, project, or organizational team for a period of at least 6 months, or the performance of organizational tasks for the unit for a period of at least 6 months;
- Ability to conduct classes in a manner that is clear, structured, and engaging for the audience;
- Very good command of spoken and written Polish, enabling the conduct of classes in a fluent, clear, and engaging manner;
- Proficiency in English at a level of at least B2, or proficiency in English at a level of at least C1 enabling the conduct of classes.

- Scans of the higher education diploma, diplomas confirming obtained academic degrees, and the document confirming the award of an academic title.
- List of research and teaching achievements from the last 5 years, including information on published monographs, articles, reviews, active participation in national and international conferences, participation in scientific research, and achievements in student education.
