Essential functions (job duties): Teach university courses in Mitochondrial Biology including: MGG 7020 – Metabolism & Disease; MGG 8770 – Molecular Biology of Mitochondrial Disease; IBS 7015 – Interdisciplinary Cell & Molecular Biology; & MGG 7400 – Molecular Biology of Cellular Signaling. Develop course in "molecular biology of aging." Course number not yet assigned. Advise students. Conduct research in mitochondrial bioenergetics. Publish results in peer-reviewed journals & present results of research at professional conferences. Unique duties: Qualifications: Position requires a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Cell Biology. Position also requires: Ph.D. dissertation in mitochondrial bioenergetics.
