Assistant Professor
St. Thomas More College (STM) invites applications from qualified individuals who identify as Indigenous for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with a projected start date of July 1, 2026. This position is exclusively for individuals identifying as Indigenous, with teaching and research needs in departments such as English, history, philosophy, religious studies, languages, literatures, and cultural studies, economics, psychology, as well as areas like Catholic studies, peace studies, and social justice.
Requirements include a Ph.D. or equivalent in one of STM’s academic disciplines, with the ability to excel in teaching, research, undergraduate and graduate supervision, and administrative service. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to connect their scholarship to STM’s mission and contribute to its distinctive academic areas.
STM is a Catholic liberal arts college federated with the University of Saskatchewan, located on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis. The salary band for the Assistant Professor rank for the 2026-2027 academic year is $113,527 to $135,535, with a comprehensive benefits plan.
