Assistant Professor, Statistics (Probationary Tenure-Track)
About the Position
The Faculty of Mathematics and Science invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2026.
Qualifications
We seek candidates for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics with a PhD in Statistics, with expertise in Statistics theory and its applications, including (but not limited to) non-parametric methods, design of experiments, regression, sampling, and multivariate analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to Statistics and Data Science, contribute to supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, and run a successful research program that can secure external funding.

The target hiring range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000. The final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, internal equity and budget considerations.
