Collaborates with the Chair, faculty, and peers to evaluate,
revise, and develop curriculum that cultivates the mastery of
course content.

delivery of instruction.

Assists with the implementation of college policies,
objectives, and functions in accordance with the SF philosophy,
mission, strategic initiatives, and procedures.
Participates in departmental meetings and collegewide

Provides students with frequent, timely assessment and clear
feedback regarding academic performance.
Appropriately documents student progress and maintains records
including attendance, grading, and student learning outcomes.
Develops methods that fairly and accurately assess students’
progress in achieving the stated learning
outcomes/objectives.
Maintains appropriate office hours proportionate to the
instructional assignment.
Keeps a record of operating procedures and may share position
specific knowledge, including use of collegewide ERP and related
system processes, by providing guidance on standard operations and
established departmental procedures as needed.
Provides service to the college through participation in
events, committees, and other college activities.
Complies with all published College Rules, procedures,
guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees,
including but not limited to those related to document retention
and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
Strictly honors the privacy, security, and confidentiality of
records and other sensitive information according to appropriate
state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and
procedures.
Provides service excellence through courteous, informed,
accessible, and professional engagement.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Faculty/instructional staff must be effective in
teaching and knowledgeable in subject matter as documented by
appropriate professional credential(s)/certification(s), education,
and experience in the designated content area. Faculty with
instructional responsibilities in core surgical technology courses
must be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology
accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation
agency; and possess a credential in the field of surgical
technology through a national certification program that is
accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies
(NCCA); and have a minimum total of two (2) years of experience,
either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in
surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five
(5) years.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check and
drug screening will be conducted. Documentation of immunizations
and Basic Life Support certification are required.
Preferred: A bachelor's degree and a certification in
central service processing.
