The Communication and Media Studies (COMS) program in the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton University invites applications from qualified candidates for a one year Limited Term Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, beginning August 1, 2026.

We seek a colleague whose teaching and scholarship engage the intersections of media, culture, and power in global and transnational contexts. The successful candidate will teach a 3.0-credit load (six 0.5-credit course sections, all in person, in some cases including two sections of the same course) across the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms.
