The School of Law seeks to hire one Assistant Professor full time (100%) tenure track to teach and direct the Technology Law and Public Policy Clinic.  The successful tenure-track, entry level candidate will start as an Assistant Professor of Law. Candidates should have an outstanding record of research, publications and professional experience in the field of technology law. 

The individual selected for this role will lead the Technology and Public Policy Clinic, providing law students with hands-on clinical training in technology law including legislative process, drafting, commentary and advocacy, appellate advocacy, and professional responsibility concerns. In addition, the faculty member will teach the Technology Law Seminar as well as other courses. The successful applicant will be expected to engage in consistent scholarly excellence through regular scholarship production, maintaining the School of Law’s national and global reputation in law. The successful applicant will cultivate external relationships that help support the School of Law and related programs.

All UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

The base salary range for this position will be $14000 – $17000 per month commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or foreign equivalent
  • A record of effective teaching
  • Proven record of research and publication
