Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track, Bioengineering with Expertise in Artificial Intelligence
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Baylor University seeks a qualified candidate for a tenure-track position in Bioengineering with Artificial Intelligence expertise beginning August 2026. Applications are due January 15, 2026. Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in Bioengineering, ECE, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. They will have a commitment to excellence in teaching, a proven track record of supporting a strong research program, and effective communication and organization skills. Selected candidates will teach courses, develop an externally funded research program, and lead graduate and undergraduate students in research. Baylor's ABET-accredited ECE department has 18 tenured/tenure-track faculty and offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Preference is given to candidates with excellence in Bioengineering research, publications, teaching, and expertise in Artificial Intelligence. Candidates should demonstrate an active, independently funded research program and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
