Candidates are required to hold a PhD in physics, or a related field, with research specialization in biophysics/biological physics. Postdoctoral or equivalent experience is desirable. Excellence in research is evidenced by peer reviewed publications/contributions of high impact, strong endorsements by referees of international standing and the quality of the research proposal submitted as part of the application. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an independent and externally funded research program of international scope, in an area that will enhance and/or complement the existing strengths of the McGill biophysics group. The successful candidate will also teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, share in the administrative responsibilities of the department and university, play an active role in the advising and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students, and will contribute to the collaborative, collegial and inclusive atmosphere of the department.
