Assistant Professor - Theoretical Physical Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Oklahoma is looking for candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Theoretical Physical Chemistry. We invite applicants with expertise in any of the following areas: Computational Chemistry, Biology and Materials; Quantum Chemistry and Spectroscopy; Statistical Mechanics in Chemistry; Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence in Chemical Sciences; as well as Quantum Computing and Quantum Information Science.
Preferred and Required Qualifications
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry seeks applicants at the disciplinary interfaces within the “Future of Health” or “Energy, Environment and Sustainability” frameworks described in OU’s strategic research plans. Expected instructional contributions are one course (three credit equivalent) per semester at the graduate or undergraduate level in an appropriate subject area. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or other relevant fields and demonstrate strong accomplishments in their field through additional training, such as postdoctoral research experience.
