The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor without tenure due to funding (WOT), with an anticipated start date of November 1, 2026. This ad will recruit for 2 positions. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment.
The base salary range for this position will be $19,167 - $25,000 per month ($230,004 - $300,000 annually), commensurate with rank, experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The successful candidate will be expected to be responsible for direct patient care in general obstetrics and gynecology and will have opportunities for scholarly work in education, QI and/or research, and leadership. This individual will work in an ambulatory clinic site with a diverse patient population and in L&D and the OR with medical students and residents and will participate in resident and medical student education including clinical teaching, didactics, simulation activities, and QI/Patient safety.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
- Board eligibility or certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or foreign equivalent
- At least one year of experience in managing complex gynecologic referrals including obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
- At least one year of experience of surgical proficiency in both laparoscopy and open procedure.
- Demonstration of prior outstanding scholarly work in education, research, quality improvement, or administration expertise
- All candidates must be eligible for and able to maintain a Washington State medical license.
