announces an open competition for the position of Assistant Professor
in the group of research and teaching staff
at the Department of Landscape Architecture
Job description
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- conduct research within the discipline of Architecture and Urban Planning, with particular emphasis on issues related to landscape architecture, including the acquisition of external funding for research projects;
Requirements
Candidates should:
- hold at least a PhD degree in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of Architecture and Urban Planning, or an equivalent degree recognised under Polish law;
- have academic teaching experience in the field of landscape architecture, e.g. in landscape architecture design, engineering graphics, green-space design at various scales, or other design-oriented subjects;
- have research experience in the discipline of Architecture and Urban Planning, with particular emphasis on landscape architecture;
- have experience in presenting research results at scientific conferences and seminars;
- have a record of scientific publications in journals included in the list of journals recognised by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, including journals indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science, within the discipline of Architecture and Urban Planning;
- demonstrate a strong commitment to professional and academic self-development, with individual development plans aligned with the development strategy of the Faculty and the discipline of Architecture and Urban Planning, as well as with the Landscape Architecture degree programme;
- experience in implementing and/or managing research projects funded from external sources, including ERC, NCN, NCBR, MEiN or MRiRW, will be considered an advantage;
- have professional proficiency in Polish, both written and spoken;
- have a command of English at a minimum B2 level;
- meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, namely:
- enjoy full public rights;
- have full legal capacity;
- have not been convicted by a final and binding judgment of an intentional offence or an intentional tax offence;
- have not been subject to a disciplinary penalty involving dismissal from employment at a higher education institution with a prohibition on working at higher education institutions for a period of 6 months to 5 years, or deprivation of the right to practise the profession of an academic teacher for a period of 10 years.

- remuneration consisting of a basic salary of no less than PLN 8,211, a seniority allowance of 3–20%, an additional annual remuneration (the so-called “13th salary”), holiday allowance and other variable components provided for in the Remuneration Regulations of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences;

- documents confirming the obtained education;
- certificate confirming English language proficiency, indicating the level (download file no. 6 – list of certificates confirming foreign language proficiency).
Candidates who do not possess a certificate but meet the requirement of English proficiency at a minimum B2 level shall submit a declaration of language proficiency; verification will take place during the interview stage.
Candidates who do not hold a language certificate but meet the requirement of English proficiency at a minimum B2 level may submit a declaration confirming their English language skills. Their proficiency will be verified during the interview.
