Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.
Requirements
- English language proficiency (demonstrated through a record of academic courses and publications); proficiency of Polish and/or another European language will be an asset.
- Doctoral Degree.
- Proven track record of innovative research in the fields of European Studies, EU External Relations and other related fields, commensurate with the candidate’s career stage.
- Documented experience in securing national and/or international external funding.
- Experience in organizing international academic events on EU topics and building international and/or interdisciplinary collaborations.
- International academic mobility, whether through study, research stays, lecturing and/or professional collaboration, will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities at the workplace:
In the research area:
- Initiate and conduct research projects in the fields of European Studies and/or EU External Relations.
- Publish research results in relevant national and international peer-reviewed journals and/or with prestigious academic book publishers.
- Actively participate in research seminars, workshops and conferences.
- Engage in academic fund raising, particularly in the area of EU funding programs.
In the teaching area:
- Development and delivery of lectures and seminars in the fields of European Studies and/or EU External Relations.
- Academic supervision and mentoring of students at the undergraduate and graduate level.
In the organizational area:
- Contributing to the organization and coordination of academic events, including summer schools, study trips, and international workshops.
- Supporting students at the Willy Brandt Center in applying for scholarships in Germany and Europe.
- Active commitment to the goals and future development of the Willy Brandt Center.
- Willingness to relocate to the city of Wrocław for the duration of employment at the Willy Brandt Center.

- Declaration – article 113 the Law on Higher Education and Science (download Declaration – Article 113).
- Self-presentation containing a description of the candidate’s scientific activity, level of internationalization and teaching and organizational activity.
- A list of the candidate's publications for a period of no more than 10 years.
- Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers to be representative of his/her scientific achievement, or an explanation of the lack of them.
- Application for employment addressed to the Rector.
