Offer Description

The Faculty of Computer Science at Gdynia Maritime University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering. We are seeking motivated candidates interested in academic teaching and scientific research in the field of computer science and information technologies.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Conducting classes and lectures,
Preparing teaching materials,
Carrying out organizational tasks related to the activities of the department,
Following the instructions of the supervisor and participating in academic development activities.

Requirements

Research Field: Computer science » Computer systems

Education Level: PhD or equivalent

Specific Requirements

A PhD degree in Technical Sciences in the discipline of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Telecommunications.

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

A higher education degree and completed first-cycle or second-cycle studies in:
- Computer Science,
- Mathematics,
- Physics,
- or another technical field.
Teaching experience in the following areas:
- Algorithms and Algorithmics,
- Machine Computations,
- Databases,
- Internet and Mobile Technologies,
- Programming and Programming Languages.
Sufficient proficiency in Polish to conduct classes and lectures in Polish.
Good command of English enabling active participation in research and development projects conducted in an international environment.
Aptitude and motivation for scientific research and teaching students.
