Assistant Professor, or preferably a tenured Associate Professor of Creative Writing – Poetry to teach undergraduate and graduate creative writing courses, general education courses, and advance the English Department’s research and scholarship goals. Job Duties Teach undergraduate and graduate creative writing courses. Teach general education courses upon request. Develop and/or teach advanced online courses Contribute to research and scholarship opportunities that will enhance the research efforts of the Department of English and the Creative Writing Program Teach advanced Creative Writing and (occasionally) literature courses Provide services to the department, college, university, community, and profession Hold regular office hours in order to aid and increase the opportunities for student success. Attend departmental faculty meetings and serve on departmental committees as assigned. Faculty are expected to post grades in Canvas and submit reports, midterm grades, and final grades in a timely manner. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics Demonstrated knowledge of a second genre preferred, particularly dramatic writing. Commitment to working with an ethnically and culturally diverse student population. Required Minimum Qualifications Earned a terminal degree in Creative Writing or a related field.
