The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Los Angeles invites applications for an Assistant Project Scientist. The laboratory is located within Neuroscience Research Building. This position will focus on determining the cellular and molecular mechanisms of tissue repair in vascular dementia/white matter stroke, using in vitro drug screens and mouse models of white matter stroke/vascular dementia.

Requirements:

Applicants must have an M.D or Ph.D. degree with several years of postdoctoral training in neuroscience and in in vivo animal modeling. The ideal applicant will have experience in animal models or neurological diseases and in vitro cell culture experience.

The salary range for this position is $76,700-$89,000.
