The Assistant Registrar of Client Services (ARCS) at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is responsible for leading and managing front desk operations across all three main campuses: West Charleston, Henderson, and North Las Vegas. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional customer service expertise, and the ability to implement standardized policies and procedures that ensure consistent and high-quality student experience (this includes email management, phone service, and in-person interactions). This is a front-facing role that will oversee frontline staff as well as directly serving students.
The ARCS will directly supervise a team of full-time staff, ensuring professional development, training, and performance evaluation processes are in place to enhance operational efficiency and service excellence. This role will also oversee institutional reporting and assessment processes, analyze data trends, and present key insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. The ARCS will work closely with the Registrar to set and manage unit goals and Team Wildly Important Goals (TWIGs), ensuring that strategic priorities are consistently met through effective planning, monitoring, and execution.
This position requires regular travel between campuses, with the North Las Vegas campus serving as the primary office location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of full-time professional experience in student services, registrar, or related higher education environment.
- Two years of direct supervisory experience, managing at least three (3) full-time, non-student employees in a customer service or student services environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of direct supervisory experience, overseeing a team of five (5) or more full-time, non-student employees.
- Five years of experience in a registrar's office or in a support role that regularly interacts with registrar functions, such as academic advising, financial aid, or admissions. Demonstrated understanding of the purpose and function of community colleges.
- Three years of customer service leadership experience, particularly in high-volume, student-facing environments.
The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.
- Familiarity with higher education administration and student services.
- Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations related to registrar operations.
- Knowledge of FERPA, including the ability to interpret and adhere to student privacy policies.
- Awareness of current trends and best practices in customer service management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting techniques.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
- Possess organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Skilled in training and developing staff.
- Ability to provide high-quality customer service and maintain positive student interactions.
- Ability to develop and implement standardized procedures across multiple locations.
- Ability to analyze data and use it to inform decision-making and improve service delivery.
Salary information:
Administrative Faculty D - The Starting Salary is $95,588.
