Job Description

The Department of Statistics and Data Science is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our growing and vibrant administrative team. The department was established in 1998 and has been one of the top departments in Statistics in Asia for many years. Our mission is to advance research and train students and working adults in the areas of Statistics and Data Science to prepare and upskill them for jobs in academia, government and industry.

You work closely with the Head of Department on facilitating department objectives and initiatives and is overall in charge of administration in the department. You manage and work with a team on supporting research grant applications, finance, procurement and space allocation.

You work closely with senior faculty in the department on Human Resource matters, for example, in the annual review of both academic and non-academic staff, search matters and on the onboarding of new staff.

The level of appointment will commensurate with work experience and based on individual merit.

Qualifications

• Degree with at least 10–15 years of relevant experience
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Service oriented with ability to multi-task and undertake challenges
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Meticulous and has a positive work attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
