"Assistant Supervisor, Security Services"

Job Summary

INTERNAL POSTING - Only current non-temporary Auburn University and AUM employees are eligible to apply. The VP for Institutional Compliance & Security is hiring a Security Services Assistant Supervisor. This role helps oversee on-site security personnel and ensures adequate security coverage across campus.

Essential Functions

• Assists the supervisor with scheduling and coordinating work and responsibilities of security personnel by reviewing tasks, assigning duties and routes, and ensuring timely work completion.
• Assists in the supervision of security representatives in the physical security of buildings and University property as well as the monitoring of University surveillance systems and alarms.
• Assists in the supervision of security representatives Patrol Assigned Zones - Conduct routine foot patrols across designated campus areas, including academic buildings, residence halls, parking lots, and public spaces.
• Assists in the supervision of Escort Services - Provide walking escorts for students, staff, and visitors upon request to promote safety and reassurance.
• Assists local emergency agencies in locating facilities and providing needed information required in resolving campus emergencies.
• Coordination with CSOC - Maintain constant radio communication with CSOC for updates and to report incidents in real time.
• Visible Campus Presence - Provide a high-visibility security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in security enforcement or services, law enforcement, military service, or other related field.
• Must have previous supervisor experience or have worked in lead capacity supervisor role.
• Substitution allowed for Experience: Graduate degrees may be accepted in lieu of experience.

Minimum Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of security services and operations.

Minimum License and Certifications

Valid in state driver's license.

Salary Range

$40,550-$60,830
