About this role
The SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING at CORNELL UNIVERSITY, Ithaca, New York, invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses primarily in computer engineering subjects. They would also be able to provide laboratory instruction, create project-intensive courses in digital electronics, embedded systems, and/or digital VLSI, and supervise M.Eng. student…

Candidates should be able to teach comfortably and competently (in classroom and laboratory) at least the following subjects: C and Python programming; digital logic and SoC on FPGA; microcontroller systems; operating environments including embedded LINUX and other operating systems; digital VLSI. Teaching competency in other areas relevant to our ECE curriculum is a plus. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field.

The salary range will fall between $58,300 - $152,000. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:
- Prior relevant work or industry experience.
- Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
- Academic discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
- Unique applicable skills
