Assistant Teaching Professor in digital marketing

The Faculty of Business & Information Technology (FBIT) at Ontario Tech University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in digital marketing. This position is subject to budgetary approval, and would start on July 1, 2026, or as soon as it is filled.
Applicants must possess a master’s or PhD degree (or equivalent) in management/business administration (or related field) with specialization in Marketing. Considerable professional or business experience in a related area will be considered in lieu of a PhD, but candidates with a master's degree must possess a blend of technical skills and real-world experience within the area of digital marketing. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach or develop undergraduate and graduate courses in digital marketing. These courses may include (but are not limited to): digital marketing, social media and/or influencer marketing, digital marketing in the era of AI, content marketing, search engine optimization, online advertising, email marketing, website optimization and E-commerce, digital marketing strategy, customer analytics, security and privacy issues in digital marketing, and marketing management. Teaching from a grounding in ethical and sustainable approaches to digital marketing will be considered an asset.
Candidates must demonstrate outstanding teaching experience or strong potential for being an outstanding teacher. Experience teaching in a Canadian post-secondary environment is desirable.
This position falls within the bargaining unit represented by the UOIT Faculty Association and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the University and the UOIT Faculty Association. UOIT Faculty Association collective agreement may be found on the Human Resources section of our website. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and annual salary increases are administered as per the terms outlined in the collective agreement.
