Assistant Teaching Professor in Finance
The University of Rhode Island's College of Business invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor in Finance, non-tenure track position beginning in the Spring 2026 semester. The appointment is for the 2025-2026 academic year and is renewable annually based on the faculty member's performance evaluation and contingent on funding.
Responsibilities:
- The faculty member will teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- The faculty member will actively participate in university, professional and community service and outreach activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
- An MBA degree or Masters / Ph.D. degree related to Finance.
- Evidence of effective teaching.
- Demonstrated excellence in oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
- Demonstrated commitment to actively participate in service and outreach activities.
Preferred:
- Have a CFA or CFP designation and experience in developing CFP-related curriculum.
- Possess relevant finance industry experience to enhance teaching, service, networking and student advising.
- Demonstrated strong connections with the industry to support student internship advising.
- Demonstrated experience in online teaching.
