Assistant Teaching Professor in Finance

The University of Rhode Island's College of Business invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor in Finance, non-tenure track position beginning in the Spring 2026 semester. The appointment is for the 2025-2026 academic year and is renewable annually based on the faculty member's performance evaluation and contingent on funding.

Responsibilities:

• The faculty member will teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• The faculty member will actively participate in university, professional and community service and outreach activities.

Qualifications:

Required:

• An MBA degree or Masters / Ph.D. degree related to Finance.
• Evidence of effective teaching.
• Demonstrated excellence in oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
• Demonstrated commitment to actively participate in service and outreach activities.

Preferred:

• Have a CFA or CFP designation and experience in developing CFP-related curriculum.
• Possess relevant finance industry experience to enhance teaching, service, networking and student advising.
• Demonstrated strong connections with the industry to support student internship advising.
• Demonstrated experience in online teaching.
