Assistant Teaching Professor in Information Systems

The ISOM Department is recruiting to hire one full-time, non-tenure eligible Assistant Teaching Professor with an anticipated start date of 9/16/2026. Assistant Teaching Professors have an annual service period of nine months and are eligible for renewal. University of Washington teaching faculty engage in teaching, scholarship, and service. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in Information Systems at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to, candidates who have the ability to teach Operations Management and Quantitative Methods courses. All teaching will be to a diverse and multicultural student body. The candidate will be expected to actively participate in service to the department, school, and university, and to promote a diverse and inclusive community of faculty, staff, and students. The base salary range for this position will be between $11,000 and $14,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include a moving allowance and administrative supplements.
The position requires a minimum of a master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Operations Management, Operations Research, or a related field (including but not limited to Economics, or Statistics). A doctoral degree in one of the listed fields (or foreign equivalent) will also be accepted. Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level is required. Applicants should have demonstrated excellence in teaching.
