On court coaching during matches;
Ability to travel with a selected team when both teams are
playing same day.
2. Administrative Duties (20% of Assistant Coach's
time):
- Help Head Coach with Frontrush system;
- Be involved in a comprehensive recruiting program to bring
quality Tennis Student athletes to Curry. (Calls, emails,
showcases, visits, etc?);
- Drive van when needed.
3. Supervision
Additional Functions:
- Comply with the NCAA Tennis policies, conference rules, and
department policies and procedures;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach;
- Must be able to perform Head Coach duties on an emergency
basis;
- Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation,
professional protocols, and individual privacy.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related discipline from
an accredited four-year collegiate institution.
- One to two years of Tennis coaching experience at the club,
high school or college level.
- Experience in coaching and knowledge of the fundamentals,
tactics, and strategies of coaching Tennis with ability to recruit
talented players for the program.
- Knowledgeable and current on all College rules and regulations
concerning eligibility and recruiting related to Tennis.
- Ability to handle emergency situations involving students.
- Current driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to work evening and weekends and some holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tennis playing experience.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Salary:
$5,100 annually
