A key priority for the AVP will be to strengthen the team and improve financial aid processes in an effort to appropriately grow new student enrollment. Additionally, the candidate will work to maintain stable NTR and reduce discount rate in a period of three to five years. The candidate must come with an understanding of state compliance and experience in data filing to the federal student aid site.

Leadership & Context
The AVP will report directly to the Vice President of Enrollment, Mike Brown, who recently completed his first year at Wittenberg. With over 20 years of higher education experience and three prior VP roles, he is excited to partner with the new AVP in bringing stability to Wittenberg's student financial services and in building a strong, positive team.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree helpful
- 8+ years of progressive financial aid / student financial services experience, including leadership responsibility
- Knowledge in financial aid and state aid compliance
- Deep knowledge of and experience with federal student aid processing and reporting
- Familiarity with student information systems
- Experience designing internal controls, billing policies, and understanding of receivables
- Aptitude for resolution regarding student accounts
