RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Vice President for University Advancement is responsible for the administrative unit which has within its organizational structure the following areas: Alumni Engagement, Scholarship, Foundation, and Development. Directors of these areas are supervised by the Assistant Vice President. This position reports directly to the President. The Assistant Vice President will also be appointed as the Executive Officer of the Foundation. As Executive Officer of the Foundation, this position serves as the principal liaison between WIU Foundation Board of Directors and the University Administration.
RANK & SALARY
$100,000 - $140,000 per year. Negotiable, commensurate with experience.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree
- Minimum of three years of senior administrative experience as an advancement, foundation, and/or alumni relations professional.
- Demonstrated record of leadership and accomplishments in advancement with a proven track record of fundraising/gift success, campaign planning and major gift solicitations from individuals and organizations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of strategies employed in all major development and alumni functions. Proven leadership skills and ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.
For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.
