Description
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Risk Management who will provide comprehensive risk management and compliance services to support the mission and operations of Monmouth University. This position serves to support the Vice President and General Counsel on a broad range of risk management and compliance, with an emphasis on contract review, risk management, insurance, data privacy, intellectual property, compliance, and issues unique to higher education.
Duties and Responsibilities
Risk Management
- Primarily responsible for the procurement and administration of the University's risk management program...
Compliance
- Draft, review, interpret, and amend (as needed) University policies and procedures...
Transactional
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of contracts and agreements...
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in managing a wide range of risk management, insurance, and/or compliance functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Admission to the bar and in good standing in the State of New Jersey or the ability to be admitted to the bar in the State of New Jersey or obtain an in-house counsel limited license.
