Summary

This position reports to the Head Volleyball Coach and Director of Athletics.

Assist the Head Volleyball Coach with various aspects of the varsity volleyball program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, scheduling, camps/clinics, and game/practice management and fundraising. The assistant volleyball coach will adhere to RMAC rules, regulations, and NCAA Division II bylaws. In addition, the assistant volleyball coach will represent MSU Denver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program's philosophies and the athletic department's core values.

Duties/Responsibilities

Operations & Logistics

• Travel coordinator, equipment coordinator, community service coordinator, secure line judges for home matches, coordinate pre-match practice times, oversee match promotions and special events, liaison with marketing and communications, and other related duties.

Coaching

• Assist head coach in coaching team
• Assist with academic coaching
• Meet regularly with student athletes and track their academic progress and advise.

Game/Practice preparation/management

• Video coordinator
• Scouting, training, match, Volleymetrics.
• Statistics coordinator
• Collect and distribute statistics to coaching staff and athletes as necessary.
• On court training assistant.

Recruiting

• Assist with recruiting
• Maintaining database, in person recruiting, organize on campus visits.

Fundraising and public relations

• Run RMR tournaments
• Gym set-up, tournament director, financial handling) and other fundraisers.

Supervision of student-athletes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience coaching at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience with operations of a collegiate volleyball program
• 2 years of experience coaching at the collegiate level

Salary for Announcement

The anticipated hiring range for this 0.75 FTE role is $31,219.50-$43,557.00

This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
