Assistant Women's Basketball Coach - Department of Athletics – Division of Student Affairs
Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of Athletics is seeking a full-time Assistant Coach for its Women’s Basketball program. Core responsibilities include:
- Experience with identifying and recruiting potential student-athletes.
- Assist with skill instruction, motivation, and the ability to conduct practice sessions under the direction of the head coach, including planning and implementation.
- Utilizing Fast Model and Synergy Sports for opponent scouting, film analysis/breakdown, and game preparation.
- Implementing and executing player development plans
- Responsibilities will include home event management and teaching in the physical education program.
- Mentor and support student-athletes in their academic progress, leadership development, and overall well-being.
- Support the women’s basketball strength and conditioning program.
- Coordinating logistics and itineraries for team travel.
- Ability to work outside the normal business hours, holidays, and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience preferred or experience as a successful collegiate competitor
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)
- Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
