A person applying for employment should have a master's degree in the field of exact and natural sciences (physical sciences) in the field of engineering and technology (automation, electronics and electrical engineering; materials engineering, mechanical engineering). A job applicant is expected to have:
- Basic knowledge of nuclear physics, including knowledge of plasma physics is welcome.
- Experience in experimental work and data analysis.
- Programming and scripting skills for data processing.
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES:
- Experience in obtaining external funds for research and scientific achievements confirmed by publications.
- Experience in working in international research teams.
- Ability to program in Python or Matlab, IDL, etc.

A person for the position of a researcher should meet the following criteria:

Selection process
The qualifications of a person applying for employment at the IPPLM are assessed by the Competition Committee on the basis of the documents and materials provided and the opinion of the head of the department in which the candidate is to be employed. In addition, the Head of the Department and/or the Competition Committee may invite the applicant for an interview.
