for the position
- one (1) employee (m/f) for open associate position - Assistant, in the scientific area: Technical Sciences, field: Geodesy, for a fixed term of 6 years, full-time position, at the Chair of Spatial Information Management, at the Institute for Applided Geodesy, University in Zagreb Faculty of Geodesy.
Applicants to the competition must meet the conditions for selection to the position of Assistant prescribed by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (OG 119/22): completed university graduate study in the scientific field of technical sciences, the scientific field of geodesy.
Along with the complete documentation evidencing the specified legal requirements, written applications should be supported by:
- Curriculum Vitae
- proof of citizenship (copy of identity card or certificate of nationality)
- adequate degree certificates (copy of diploma or certificate of completed studies)
- foreign citizens are obliged to attach the proof of competence in Croatian language -advanced level.
Job description is prescribed by the Act on higher Education and Scientific activity (OG 119/22) and Ordinance on the establishment of jobs at the Faculty of Geodesy, Class: 003-05/18-07/03, Reg. No.: 380-65-07-03-18-1 of 22 February 2018 and Class: 011-01/22-01/1, Reg. No.: 380-65-01-22-1 of 8 July 2022.
The salary consists of the product of the job complexity coefficient of 2.01 and the base salary amount prescribed by the Decision on the Base Salary Amount for Public Service Employees for 2026 (Official Gazette 11/26), increased by 0.5% for each completed year of service.
Job applications can be submitted by persons of both sexes (article 13. of the Act on Gender Equality, Official Gazette number: 82/08, 69/17).
The applicants who have priority right according to the special law are obliged to refer to such right and attach the proof of such a status. Such applicants have advantage over other applicants only under identical conditions.
Applicants who may exercise the right of employment preference under Article 101 of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, 156/23), Article 47 of the Law on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21), Article 48.f of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 94/01, 103/03, 148/13, and 98/19), and Article 9 of the Law on Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, and 32/20), are required to explicitly refer to this right in their application and must submit all required documentation prescribed by the relevant legislation. Such applicants will be given priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.

Applicants claiming the right of employment preference under Article 48.f of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids are required to submit a decision or certificate confirming their recognized status, clearly indicating the right to employment preference. They must also provide a written statement declaring that they have not previously exercised this right, as well as documentation showing the manner in which their employment with their last employer was terminated (e.g. decision, contract, agreement, etc.).
Applicants claiming the right of employment preference under Article 9 of the Law on Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities are required to submit proof of their recognized status as a person with a disability.
By applying for the competition, the applicants agree that the University in Zagreb Faculty of Geodesy may collect and process personal data of the gateway listed in the application for the competition and documentation submitted with the application for the purpose of conducting the tender procedure, i.e. for the purpose of verifying the qualification and fulfilment of the requirements of the tender, in accordance with the provisions of the General data Protection Regulation - Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the Act on the implementation of the General data Protection Regulation (Official Gazette 42/18) and Regulations on the Protection and processing of personal data of the University in Zagreb Faculty of Geodesy, Class: 602-08/18-07/03, Ref. No.: 380-65-07-03-18-2 of 13 November 2018.
Incomplete and late applications shall not be considered for selection.
The procedure of applicant selection shall be carried out through interview, and the results of the competition procedure shall be announced on the Internet site of the University in Zagreb Faculty of Geodesy https://www.geof.unizg.hr/natjecaji/.
