University of Rijeka, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, announces
TENDER
1. For the selection of associates for the position of senior assistant in the scientific field of social sciences, the scientific field of economics, and the scientific branch of general economics into a permanent and full-time employment relationship – 1 contractor.
Applicants must bring the following:
- a detailed curriculum vitae,
- proof of citizenship,
- the conviction of the competent court that the applicant is not the subject of criminal proceedings (not older than 6 months)
- an electronic record entered in the register of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute,
- proof of completion of relevant higher education studies in the field of economics, transcript of grades of undergraduate and graduate studies or integrated undergraduate and graduate studies of the university
- description of scientific and professional papers
Applicants must fulfil the requirements set out in the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (OG No. 119/22),
Applicants whose mother tongue is not Croatian must also prove their knowledge of the Croatian language C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (a test of knowledge at the required level may exceptionally be oral and/or written if the applicant cannot provide written proof of knowledge of the Croatian language). Applicants who have acquired relevant qualifications outside the Republic of Croatia must submit a decision on the recognition of foreign educational qualifications
Applicants who are entitled to an employment advantage on the basis of special regulations are obliged to invoke this right in the application and submit all evidence required by the special regulations for the exercise of this right, and to give priority to other applicants only under the same conditions.
Applicants under Article 102 of the Croatian Homeland War Veterans Act and their family members are entitled to an employment advantage. They are obliged to invoke this right in the application for the selection procedure and to provide all evidence of exercising this right, and are only given priority over other applicants under equal conditions. Applicants who have a right to an employment advantage under Article 48 of the Law on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War are obliged to claim this right in the application for the selection procedure and to provide all evidence of exercising this right, and they have an advantage over other applicants only under equal conditions. Applicants who, based on Article 9 of the Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette Nos. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, and 32/20), are obliged to refer to this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of the established status of a person with a disability. By doing so, they acquire the right to priority in employment compared to other candidates, only under equal conditions.
The selection procedure is open to persons of both sexes. The terms used in this selection procedure that have a gender-specific meaning are used neutrally and apply equally to both genders.
The Faculty reserves the right to conduct a knowledge and skills assessment through testing and/or an interview with candidates who submit a timely and proper application and meet the formal requirements of the competition before making a decision. Candidates will be duly informed about the scheduling of testing and/or interviews. If a candidate does not attend the assessment, it will be considered that they have withdrawn their application for the competition. The Faculty reserves the right not to select any candidate for the competition. Candidates will be notified of the competition results on the Faculty's website.
By applying for the selection procedure, applicants have expressly agreed that the Faculty, as the data controller, may collect, use, and further process personal data to conduct the selection procedure in accordance with the provisions of General Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data and the Act implementing the General Data Protection Regulation (OG 42/18).
Applications must be submitted within 30 days of publication of the call for applications in the Official Journal. Incomplete and outdated applications will not be considered.
