Position Highlights
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Arizona invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in all areas and at all ranks. The Department of Computer Science has a long history of research accomplishments, influential software distribution, and substantial external funding. The department currently has 18 tenure-track faculty and 13 teaching faculty. We offer three undergraduate degrees (B.S. and B.A in Computer Science and B.S. in Artificial Intelligence) as well as two graduate degrees (M.S. and Ph. D. in Computer Science). Current research areas include algorithms, bioinformatics, computational geometry, data management, human-computer interaction, machine learning, natural language processing, networks, programming languages, security, computer vision, and visualization. The Computer Science department is in the College of Science, which includes other highly ranked departments such as Astronomy and Geosciences, with which Computer Science faculty actively collaborate.
Review of applications will begin on the preferred application deadline of November 15, 2026 and continue until the positions are filled.
