Required QualificationsEducation: PhD in Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
Work Experience:
- Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or statistical learning.
- Experience developing or applying statistically principled AI methodologies.
- Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration in biomedical research.
Preferred QualificationsWork Experience:
- Teaching experience in statistics, biostatistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science.
- Research collaboration experience in cancer, obesity/metabolic disease, or precision medicine.
- Experience with one or more of the following: medical image analysis, computational pathology, multi-omics integration, electronic health record analysis, Spatial 'omics, Reinforcement learning for healthcare, explainable AI, machine/deep learning, Bayesian machine learning, or causal AI.
