Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Teach assigned courses in the physical therapy curriculum with development and delivering course materials using evidence-informed and student-centered teaching methods Advise and mentor students on academic progress and professional development Establish and maintain an active research agenda, including the engagement of students in scholarly activities Disseminate peer-reviewed scholarly work Serve on departmental and university committees Contribute to student learning and program assessment, strategic planning, and accreditation efforts Participate in student recruitment, admissions, and program promotion activities Engage in professional service through organizations such as the American Physical Therapy Association Maintain clinical competence and, where applicable, active clinical practice Integrate current clinical expertise into teaching and mentoring Maintain licensure and certifications as required Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position. Job Requirements: Terminal academic doctorate (PhD, EdD, DHSc, DSc) from an accredited institution, terminal academic degree is in progress with expected graduation within one year, or DPT with ABPTS certification. If a physical therapist: Licensure in a United States jurisdiction as a physical therapist and eligible for licensure in Kentucky. Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of peer-reviewed scholarship, at a minimum, invited presentations such as poster or platform at professional conferences. Publications in peer-reviewed journals, authorship of books or chapters, and grant activity will be considered as higher forms of peer-reviewed scholarship. Experience mentoring students in research, either formally or informally. Experience teaching in an academic environment, at a minimum as adjunct faculty. Higher consideration may be given to those with previous full-time faculty experience. Strong background in contemporary practice and teaching experience in: oncology, lymphedema, cardiovascular and pulmonary, acute/critical care, musculoskeletal examination, or biophysical agents.
