Essential Responsibilities

• Teach core counseling courses (both didactic and clinical, including supervision of practicum/internship) for Masters and Doctoral program students in a blended online format (with synchronous and asynchronous elements).
• Administrate and supervise practicum and internship experiences
• Maintain active membership and involvement with appropriate counseling professional organizations (i.e. ACA, ACES, FCA, FACES, etc.).
• Advise students and mentor students.
• Participate in university service and professional/scholarly contributions.
• Pursue professional development opportunities.
• Partake in scholarly activities while meeting the needs of a diverse student body.
• Provide community engagement opportunities.
• Maintain campus presence.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision or equivalent from an accredited institution and preferably from a CACREP accredited doctoral program
  • ABD will also be considered if candidate is expecting to complete their degree within 6 months of hire date
• School Counseling certification in Florida, preferred
• The ability to teach in-person, blended, hybrid and online formats
• Experience in the field of counseling and be licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida (LMHC) within 12 months of hire and/or as a certified school counselor (preference to those who are both)
• Teaching experience in the field of counseling is preferred
• Evidence of experience in CACREP accreditation is beneficial
• Must have the ability to contribute to and collaboratively work alongside a diverse departmental faculty and with a diverse student body
