About UAEU and the College of Business and Economics
Founded in 1977, UAEU is the UAE's first and leading national university, ranked 5th in the Arab world and 229th globally by QS World Rankings. The College of Business and Economics (CBE) offers a robust academic portfolio, including five undergraduate programs, three postgraduate programs, and Executive Education. CBE at UAEU was the first institution in the region to achieve AACSB accreditation and also holds an EQUIS accreditation. The Entrepreneurship program at UAEU is rapidly expanding and offers General Education courses, a Major/Minor in Entrepreneurship, and specialized courses for business students. The program integrates theory with practical applications, fostering entrepreneurial skills that prepare students for success in diverse global markets.
The successful candidate will conduct high-quality research leading to publications in top-tier, refereed journals and will develop and sustain funded research initiatives. Teaching responsibilities include delivering undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship and related disciplines, employing innovative and practical approaches to enhance student learning. The candidate will also lead and manage the Entrepreneurship Lab, creating hands-on, practical opportunities that integrate academic knowledge with real-world applications. Mentoring students, advising them on academic and professional development, and actively contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the entrepreneurship program are integral aspects of the role. The candidate will be expected to engage in service activities that promote the growth and reputation of UAEU and its entrepreneurship program. Industry experience in the UAE and internationally is highly valued to ensure the program's practical relevance and quality.
